Meet the Staff
Mary Kolarek, President of MLK Inspections  is a seasoned veteran in the loss control industry. Her 37 plus years at the helm of the organization has allowed her an unprecedented perspective of the industry's needs. She has worked and developed all aspects of the loss control inspections and has a unique ability to identify client's needs with personalized hands-on ability.

Mary graduated USC with a degree in Communications and also has extensive studies in business administration. As the leader of the organization Mary has led her team in continued education attending classes and seminars in fire science, arson investigation, mold water intrusions; construction defect claims investigations, just to name a few.




Mary is a long time resident of the Santa Clarita Valley and stays active with family and community. She has been a long-term supporter of local businesses and has participated for over thirty seven years as a member of the local chamber of commerce. She also enjoys and supports local art and theatre.

Lauree Ann Lage, Vice President - I have been with MLK for over 30 years. I started my career working for the organization in the 80's as a field inspector. I have performed literally hundreds and hundreds of inspections concentrating in the greater Los Angeles area. I later continued my travels in the California area working up and down the coast handling inspections in several major metropolitan areas and many remote locations as well.

As MLK continued to grow so did my experience, working daily in the field I gained a thorough appreciation of  various business types and how fire and loss control applied to them. Working together with Mary I began to concentrate my skills in adressing our office administration functions.  We hired additional inspectors throughout the California area and ultimately many of the western states.

Today, I can be found working on the day to day operations with Mary in our Santa Clarita location. Handling tasks such as overseeing our computer system, coordinating work with our field service professionals, and handling follow-up through to completion of job.

My interest in computers and customer service has helped lead to continuously improving our business processes, our forms, and our flow of paperwork. Perhaps I can suggest ways to remove waste through the introduction of electronic processes in an effort to improve our service to you and reduce our lead-time.
